JD(S) wants to adopt Cong leaders in 3 LS seats

In a first-of-its-kind arrangement, former PM HD Deve Gowda's party is seeking to 'adopt' Congress leaders in three Lok Sabha seats to field them as JD(S) candidates. Lack of candidates or organizational base in Udupi-Chikkamagaluru, Uttara Kannada and Bengaluru North has pushed the party to embark on a new experiment. JD(S) has secured eight out of 28 seats.
