5 killed as fire breaks out in Mumbai high-rise

According to a fire officer, the building, which was recently redeveloped, its firefighting system wasn’t working. The fire broke out on the 11h floor after a suspected short circuit that killed five people among whom were four women. Three of the victims seem to have died of smoke inhalation. Narrow access lanes for fire brigade is being seen as a major factor behind Thursday’s casualties.
