Why aliens can bomb Taj Mahal in a Hollywood film, but not Great Wall

China wields enormous influence over how it is depicted in American movies. But Hollywood's embrace of China has not come without strings attached. Leaked emails of Sony studio reveal that the executives were worried about blasting a hole in the Great Wall of China in the movie "Pixels", fearing it won't be released in China. So they blew up the Taj Mahal instead.
