Sabarimala live: Temple opens amid high security

The Sabarimala temple opened at 5pm for the two-month long pilgrim season amid tight security in the backdrop of the standoff over the entry of women in menstrual age. Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB), managing the Ayyappa temple, decided to move Supreme Court seeking more time to implement its verdict on the entry of women in the 10-50 age group.
