Amazon Invested Rs 11,400 Crore in India in 2020 Despite Its Business Units Suffered Losses

In January this year, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos had announced $1 billion investment in India to help bring small and medium businesses online. Regulatory filings show that various Amazon entities like Amazon Seller Services, Amazon Wholesale (India), Amazon Pay (India), and more suffered losses in 2020.
