The announcement of Priyanka Gandhi's appointment as party general secretary (in-charge of east UP), caught senior Congress leaders unawares and set off heated speculation of the trigger behind her long awaited formal plunge into politics and the possible impact in UP, which had looked like a straight fight between BJP and the SP-BSP combine.

बिजनौर. यूपी के बिजनौर जिले के मंडावर थाना क्षेत्र के देवलगढ़ गांव में एक बड़ा हादसा हो गया है। शुक्रवार को यहां गंगा नदी पार करते समय एक नाव तेज बहाव में आने के कारण डूब गई। हादसे के वक्त नाव में करीब 30 लोग सवार थे। घटना की जानकारी मिलने के साथ ही प्रशासन ने राहत और बचाव कार्य शुरू कर दिया है। सभी लोग वैभगलगढ़ गांव के रहने वाले थे। ये सभी गंगा पार करके पशुओं के लिए चारा लाने गए थे और लौटते वक्त अचानक नदी का जलस्तर बढ़ गया और नाव तेज बहाव में आ गई। आज की ताज़ा ख़बरें पढ़ने के लिए दैनिक भास्कर ऍप डाउनलोड करें
