BJP, JD(U) strike 50:50 deal for LS polls in Bihar
The understanding is rooted in realism, and is reflective of both BJP's new-found political muscle as well as the impressive gains Nitish has clocked since 2014 when his party managed to win just two LS seats. The agreement with Nitish also means that BJP will have to jettison 4-5 of its sitting Lok Sabha members in the state.
